More than 3 decades ago Michael Goodman was just a mindless young boy living in New York City. One day he decided to prove to his friends that he was big and tough, not knowing that this day would haunt him for many, many years.
Michael was arrested that day for mugging another kid, named Claude Soffel. He stole Claude’s personal belongings and his bus pass in order to impress his peers. Local police officers immediately arrested Michael and called his parents. 30 years later Michael still regretted his foolish behavior. Fortunately, he came across Claude’s Facebook profile after both men commented on the very same picture on the social network. Michael immediately wrote to Claude and explained who he was, why he mugged him back in the day and expressed his deepest apologies for his actions.
Claude wrote him back and accepted his apology, stating that he was proud of the man Michael has become.
