Kim Kardashian and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney are being sued over their own line of beauty products.
The three sisters are being blasted with a pretty serious lawsuit, which might deprive them from a cool $200 million if the plaintiffs get their way.
Official reports state that 35 year old Kim, 31 year old Khloe and 36 year old Kourtney have been slammed with the hefty lawsuit by a company named Hillair Capital Management and they are suing them over the line Kardashian Beauty. Back in 2012 Kim and her sister launched the make-up line under the name Khroma Beauty after partnering up with a company named Boldface. Eventually the Kardashian sisters renamed the line to Kardashian Beauty, but Boldface started losing profits. The line was acquired by Hillair Capital Management with an investment of $10 million. Apparently the company and the three Kardashian women had an agreement that they would need to promote their own line with its new name so that the line would make more profits and Hillair Capital Management’s $10 million investment wouldn’t be in vain.
However, the Kardashian sisters failed to do the promotion and they didn’t tweet about the name change, nor promoted the new name of the beauty line on Instagram and other feeds. As a result, Kardashian Beauty didn’t make the expected $180 million in profits and growth and now Hillair Capital Management is suing the three sisters after the fail. The company is seeking not only the original investment, but also millions in addition, but neither of the sisters has as much as $200 million in her bank account. All women of the Kardashian/Jenner clan have a joined net worth of more than $300 million, but if the lawsuit is won by the plaintiff, Kim and company might find themselves on the brink of a bankruptcy.
