Taylor Swift just won a prestigious Emmy Award, but it’s not exactly what you think.
Swift is only 25 years old, but she already has 5 studio albums behind her back, numerous appearances in movies and TV series, an army of loyal fans from all across the globe, and, of course, tons and tons of awards.
The pop singer and songwriter has a total of 567 nominations and a total of 301 won awards. And now she just scored an Emmy Award for her famous Amex Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience. Earlier in December 2014 the singer launched her very own smartphone app, which was distributed by iTunes and Google Play. The application allowed the users to make a spectacular digital tour of the mansion, in which the interior scenes of her Blank Space video were shot. The mansion, the Woolworth Estate, is a 1916 historic estate, which is located in Nassau County, New York, US. The estate served not only as a location for the music video to Blank Space, but it was also shot over the course of 10 hours with a 360 degree angle camera for the application. The app allows the users to not only bask in the glory of the gorgeous mansion, but it also allows them to either follow Taylor and her fictional love interest, or to follow the maintenance staff of the mansion.
Amex Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience features Swift’s song Blank Space and some scenes from the music video as well. Swift won the Emmy Award for the application solely. Apart from that she also has a Brit Award, 22 Billboard Music Awards, 7 Grammy Awards, 6 MTV VMA Awards, and so on. Her albums have sold millions and millions of copies all across the planet with Fearless album being the most successful in the US units with a total of 6.9 million sold copies.
