Morgan Freeman had to pitch a baseball for 9 whole hours without complaining about it
There’s no doubt that the Academy Award winning Morgan Freeman is one of the most successful actors in our day and age. His acting in Driving Miss Daisy, Million Dollar Baby, Wanted and The Shawshank Redemption has turned him into a household name. He is a brilliant actor, recognized all around the world.
During the filming of Shawshank’s Redemption the 77 year old actor proved once again how devoted he is to his work. Back in the early 1990s, when the filming began, the younger Freeman wasn’t in the prime of his life, but that didn’t stop him from pitching a baseball for 9 whole hours without complaining about it. The scene, during which Tim Robbins and Freeman chatted in the prison’s yard, took 9 whole hours of filming. Freeman, who was then aged around 55-57 years old, had to endure nearly a whole day of pitching.
The actor turned up at the set the next day with a sling around his arm, but, he didn’t mutter even a single complaint!
