One of the most popular theories about the creation of the universe is the one about the Big Bang. A huge celestial event that created everything nearly 14 billion years ago. Since that massive cosmic explosion the universe has been expanding ever since and now scientists have confirmed this theory.
Scientists based at the North Pole used a special telescope called Bicep which stands for Background Imaging of Cosmic Extragalactic Polarization and discovered gravitational waves that prove the universe is indeed expanding. Not only did the scientists confirmed the Big Bang theory but they’ve even calculated that the Universe has expanded nearly 100 trillion trillion times since its creation 14 billion years ago. No one was more happy about this scientific breakthrough than Stanford’s professor Andrei Linde.
Prof. Linde who is a brilliant Russian theoretical physicist designed models nearly 30 years ago which predicted the cosmic inflation. Since that day he has been waiting for solid proof his theoretical models are plausible. You can check out his reaction when a member of the Bicep team named So Chao Chao-Lin Kuo delivered the breakthrough news to the unsuspecting professor.
