This might come as a shock to you, but Brad Pitt’s very first acting gig wasn’t in a movie. It was in real life and he had to dress up as a huge chicken while he was working at an El Pollo Loco restaurant in Hollywood.
Long before he met Angelina Jolie, long before he became famous as the world’s most attractive man, long before he made a name for himself with his acting skills, William Bradley Pitt was just a 23 year old college student trying to make it in Hollywood. Back in 1986 Pitt decided to drop out of the University of Missouri, where he was taking classes in journalism, and moved all the way to the state of California. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find a good acting gig and he had to pay his rent somehow. Thus, he juggled several strange jobs before actually starring in a real Hollywood production. He used to move around refrigerators, he used to drive strippers around in a limo and last, but not least, he also used to dress up as a chicken.
That’s right, Brad Pitt dressed up as a big bright yellow chicken standing outside of an El Pollo Loco restaurant in Hollywood and handing out flyers to attract potential customers’ attention to the restaurant. He had to bear through unimaginable heat in order to walk around in his furry chicken costume and look friendly, entertaining and welcoming. As it turned out, his hard work finally paid off when he got a role in Dallas, which eventually kicked off his acting career.
Nowadays the 51 year old actor has more than 70 titles in his filmography, one Academy Award won out of five nominations, and tons of other awards and nominations. He’s one of Hollywood’s most adored actors and one of the most notorious philanthropists on the planet.
