The Harry Potter books and movies are a total global phenomenon. The success especially of the movies is beyond staggering. The fantasy saga began in 2001 with the first movie called Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and ended in 2011 with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. The movies together were able to earn more than $7 billion in the box office.
Now the author of the books JK Rowling recently admitted in front of the huge fan audience her regret about one of the main love plots in the story. She believes she made a great literary mistake putting together the characters of Hermione and Ron as a couple. The shocking confession was released in the British “Wonderlan” magazine when Emma Watson, 23 interviewed the best-selling author in a special edition of the magazine.
JK Rowling also admitted that Hermione would have been a much better partner for Harry than Ron. She only put them together to fulfill her initial plan for writing the books. Now that a couple of years have passed the author had plenty of time to look back and say that Ron and Hermione were not very well suited for each other and their relationship probably wouldn’t have lasted for very long. Rowling wishes there was a spell to turn back time and fix her “minor error” in the book’s original plot.
