“Grand Theft Auto” is one of the most popular interactive video games that has ever been created. The latest edition of the game GTA 5 experienced incredibly huge commercial success. Within just 24 hours of its release the third-person open world action adventure video game was able to generate more than $800 million in revenue globally. Three days later it became the fastest selling video game entertainment product in the history of the industry by surpassing $1 billion worth of sales.
Following the success of the video game rumor has it that some people also want to claim a piece of the pie. It has been reported recently that movie star Lindsay Lohan is planning to sue the developers and publishers of the top selling GTA 5, Rockstar Games.
The creators of the game have obviously based some characters and special missions in the game solely on Lindsay’s celebrity life. There have been debates whether the blonde bikini top model holding a cell-phone on the cover of the game is actually Lindsay or not. There is also a mission in the game in which a “Lindsay-ish” character is kindly requesting the player to help her out evade the annoying pesky paparazzi.
It’s still not quite clear how Rockstar Games will respond to this alleged lawsuit but it surely won’t be in a polite manner.
