“The Hangover” has been an absolute hit ever since the first movie came out but most people didn’t realize it was a total ripoff of a ‘Simpsons’ episode that was aired back in 1999. The episode was called “Viva Ned Flanders” and the story is about a guy who is 60 years old and has never had any fun.

Homer decides to take Flanders to Las Vegas where all kinds of “Vegas stuff” happen to them : they go gambling and win a lot of money only to lose them, then they wake up to realize they got married to strange women with shady reputation.

Details such as the tiger, the appearance of Mike Tyson in the movie ( Drederick Tatum in “The Simpsons”) and the quick weddings to women of those kind are present in both the movie and the cartoon but, of course, the latter came out long before “The Hangover”. Then again, it seems that most movies taking place in Vegas include gambling, drinking or getting married to someone you just met. Well, you know what they say: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

We are not too sure if this is coincidence or not, but both The Simpsons and The Hangover are pretty good to watch. Through the years we have seen a lot of theories about the Simpsons and predicting the future. For example Trump was president in an episode aired in 2000 and on January 20, 2017. We would simply consider that as just pure luck or lucky guess.
